HOW DID WE GET HERE
Where It All Began
The Suitcase Club began with a simple idea—bringing great cocktails into spaces where they wouldn’t normally exist.
Our founder, Cathal, developed his skills working in high-end cocktail bars in London. Outside of work, he would often find himself at friends’ parties, stepping behind makeshift bars and creating cocktails using whatever ingredients were available.
Wanting to take things further, Cathal began bringing a suitcase filled with his own equipment—shakers, syrups, and garnishes—turning casual gatherings into something more memorable. What started as a bit of fun quickly grew into opportunities to host cocktail workshops and masterclasses with events such as Taste London.
The Turning Point
During COVID-19, Cathal returned home to Belfast. With restrictions impacting the hospitality industry and limited opportunities in cocktail bars, the local scene became increasingly difficult to break into.
However, as small gatherings and garden parties began to return, a new opportunity emerged—bringing the cocktail experience directly to people’s homes.
This is where The Suitcase Club was born.
Building The Suitcase Club
What started as a creative solution quickly developed into something bigger. By working with local influencers, business professionals, and brands, the concept evolved into a fully professional service—designed to deliver high-quality, experience-led cocktail events across Northern Ireland.
Today, The Suitcase Club continues to grow, with a clear focus on creating memorable, engaging, and unique experiences—bringing the energy and atmosphere of a premium cocktail bar to any setting.
